The air is so thick - full of smoke

My body aches and I’m tired

I cast myself willingly to the pit of consciousness

Abandon self and love
The questions pour from my mouth
These memories don’t feel like my own
I am not afraid to die
I’m more scared of what I don’t know
Just give me a glimpse
At what’s hidden behind the stars

Vast and expansive, impossible to perceive
With great speed, the mysteries elude me
If the truth hurts, I must be close
Because the pain’s got hold of me

Draw out the weeks and months
Just measures of time
In the blink of an eye I will grow old
The spring in my step will rust
I will crumble to the ground
Bound to wheels, gaped at the sky
Just dreaming
